Let the flames begin

During two weeks last December I ran a Giveaway on my Facebook fanpage, the winner would pick 3 characters and I was going to paint one. One of those characters on the winner's list was Black Widow, and given that Nat is one of my favorite characters of all time I couldn't help it; plus I've been wanting to paint her for a really long time.

Initially it was only meant to be a black and white piece with her bright red hair as accent color, but diving further into color correction I ended up with a larger color palette that I first thought it would be. I couldn't stop wondering how it would look with only the red accent, so I came up with a second version and ended up loving both of them.
